Our Black Double Face Fabric, composed of 95% linen and 5% cotton, is designed for durability and style. When you say pre-wash — does that take away the need to wash them at home before sewing?
We pre-wash the fabric primarily to make it soft and more stable, but it does still have some remaining shrinkage. For this specific item, you can expect about 3–4% shrinkage.
If you want to minimize this and avoid a full wash before sewing, we recommend lightly spraying water on the fabric surface and then tumble drying it. Doing this will bring the remaining shrinkage down to just 1–2%.
