The Story Behind This Box: Meeting Haesung

We are preparing our new warehouse now, but we received an unexpected surprise: a beautiful German Shepherd had been left behind by the previous tenant. He was alone, confused, and deeply in need of help. We took him in, fed him, and named him Haesung. 

To ensure he received the professional care, medical checks, and space he needed, we brought him to a wonderful animal rescue shelter called Rebel Rescue, located in Pyeongtaek, 2 hours south of Seoul. They stepped in immediately with open arms, and they are now working hard to find Haesung the dedicated, permanent home and happy life he truly deserves.

Before Haesung can be adopted, he will need several important medical treatments. Antibiotics for a serious ear infection, very expensive heartworm treatment, plus he will need to be neutered. The overall cost for all of these treatments will be at least 1,000,000KRW (660USD). We have donated half of this cost, but we would like to give you a chance to help out too.... and have the chance to win some amazing fabric as well! 

How It Works (and How to Help)

We have put together a spectacular, one-of-a-kind Surprise Box packed full of premium-quality fabrics. Instead of selling it outright, we want to turn it into a community-driven donation drive:

• Each $5 contribution counts as one raffle ticket entry to win the Premium Surprise Box.

• You can purchase as as many raffle tickets as you like. If you want to donate $25 to the shelter, simply add 5 raffle tickets to your cart. That will give you 5 separate raffle entries in the drawing.

• All of the profits, minus the shipping costs (and tariffs for US customers) of the surprise box from this fundraiser will be donated directly to the shelter to help fund medical care, food, and rehoming efforts Haesung. Any additional money that is made can go to help the other 50 animals they take care of on a daily basis so they can continue the amazing rescue work they do. Whether or not you win the prize, you can be sure that your money will go to help this amazing rescue shelter.

• The Prize: One grand prize winner will receive a special surprise box filled with a curated selection of our high-quality textiles (perfect for your next major sewing projects). No shipping costs, or additional tariffs will be charged. (Please note that some counties, such as EU, UK, Canada, etc. may be charged an import fee on arrival which is out of our control. This will NOT affect USA, Australia or other countries with a De Minimis exemption). 

• The Drawing: Once the fundraiser closes, we will export all entry numbers and use a transparent, random generator to pick the winner. We will share the results openly with our community.

• Piece Sizes: Generous cuts ranging from 3.2 to 4.6 yards each (perfect for full apparel projects, dresses, or home textiles).

• Value: At regular retail price, these fabrics would cost at least $300 USD.
