This 100% linen fabric, inspired by authentic Viking-era textiles, features a unique interrupted diamond twill pattern characteristic of historical Viking garments. While the natural, undyed color maintains historical accuracy, modern two-tone chambray variations are used to enhance the visibility of the pattern. The fabric is also available in a piece-dyed blue, carefully crafted to replicate the traditional woad-dyed blue color used in Viking times, offering a historically accurate option for reenactments. The medium to heavy weight ensures durability and versatility, making it ideal for period-inspired clothing. The fabric offers good stretch, allowing for comfortable movement, and resists wrinkles better than typical 100% linen fabrics, combining functionality with ease of care.

The shrinkage is about 3~4 percent. If you want to minimize the shrinkage, spray water lightly on the fabric and tumble dry it. It will make the shrinkage 1~2 percent.

This fabric is a bit on the heavy side for most garments, so it’s best suited for outerwear like jackets or coats. As for curtains, it really depends on the look you're going for. If you want something lightweight or sheer that lets the light through, this might be too heavy. But if you’re looking for a more substantial, opaque curtain, this would work well.

It’s considered a heavy-weight linen, but just to clarify, it’s not warm like a winter furry hat. Linen doesn’t trap heat the same way, so it won’t provide that kind of winter-level warmth. It really depends on how warm you’re looking for.
