This Linen Polyester Fabric features a unique combination of materials: the warp is crafted from very thin filament polyester yarn, while the weft is made of linen 21s yarn. The fabric boasts a distinctive wrinkle effect achieved through a crease process, adding depth and texture to its appearance. Additionally, a stylish starcheck - houndstooth pattern is printed on the surface, enhancing its visual appeal. With a composition of 83% linen and 17% polyester, this fabric offers a light to medium weight, perfect for a variety of projects. It has a weight of 96 g/sqm (2.82 oz per square yard) and a width of 54 inches (137cm). Pre-washed for a soft handfeel, this fabric provides comfort and versatility, while its lack of elasticity ensures a stable and durable construction.
Is the fabric transparent?
It’s not completely opaque, it has a very slight sheerness.
Does this linen get really wrinkled, or even more wrinkled in the dryer?
We pressed this fabric with high heat and pressure, which caused the polyester yarn to develop those wrinkly creases. These wrinkles are pretty permanent. If you wash or tumble dry it, the wrinkles might get a bit worse, but you can easily iron them out on a low setting.
